This edition of ASZ Preview is a special edition, which concerns the Imola 4H event organized by the European Le Mans Series, it will be a “mini-guide” for all the international friends of our website.
Activities on the track will begin on July 5th, along the 4909 meters of the Enzo & Dino Ferrari International Autodrome in Imola. There will be a collective test on Thursday July 4th, divided between morning and afternoon and free for each category and driver.
On Friday 5 July, it will be possible to participate in the activities OPEN AND FREE TO ALL in the PITLANE, with the possibility of seeing the cars up close and witnessing the “pitstop challenge”, all this will be possible (unless otherwise provided), from 4.30pm/5pm until 7pm.
Saturday 6 July will be the day of qualifying, where the pole position will be decided by a 10-minute session with divided categories, so as to allow maximum performance.
On Sunday 7 July, there will be an intense day to experience, with all the pre-race ceremonies and it will be possible to participate in the GRID WALK and the PIT WALK with autograph session.
The 4h of Imola will start at 11.30 am and will end at 3.30 pm.
What can you see inside this race?
There will be 3 categories present at the 4H of Imola divided as follows:
22 LMP2 (also including PRO-AM crews)
10 LMP3
11 LMGT3
For a total of 43 cars present (currently registered in the provisional ENTRY LIST) who will battle from the first to the last meter of the race.
Let’s take a quick look at the competing categories, so as to have some very simple and useful technical knowledge:
LMP2: Oreca chassis Gibson 4.2L V8 6-speed engine Goodyear tyres.
BLUE numberplate
CYAN numberplate (PRO-AM category).
LMP3: Ligier chassis Nissan VK 56 engine 6 gears Michelin tyres.
PURPLE numberplate.
LMGT3: Various chassis and engines present (Aston Martin, Porsche, Ferrari Lamborghini), now the cars and the GT3 category common in all National and International GT championships.
ORANGE numberplate.
There will also be four categories for drivers, based on seniority and victories achieved:
BRONZE
SILVER
GOLD
PLATINUM
The categories for pilots according to the ELMS regulation provide that crews cannot have more than a certain number of competitors in the same category, all this to have the same rules for everyone and a well-distributed balance of talent.
The pole position which will be held on Saturday as mentioned before, is worth 1 point for each category, while the points for Sunday go to the top 10 in each classification, starting from 25 points for the winner, up to the tenth who gets 1 point.
In addition to the 4H of Imola, with all the cars involved for the three days, there will also be two other categories of cars in support:

GT4 Italy/Supersport by FX Series
There will certainly be no shortage of fun and battle on the track.

The PREMIUM ticket gives access to the grandstands, paddock, pit walk and grid walk for the entire weekend. The DISCOVERY ticket gives access to the grandstands and paddock for the entire weekend.
